Become a Volunteer
We couldn’t function without our wonderful volunteers. As a volunteer run organization, we need your help to keep Island Green alive! There are plenty of ways to get involved. Check out some of our volunteer opportunities:The ReSource Depot on Gifft Hill road is home to St John's only thrift store and recycling center.
Our operation is powered by volunteers. We need your help to pick up aluminum cans from recycle bins around St. John, and sort, crush and bale aluminum cans so they can be shipped to the recycling facility.Thrift store volunteers can help organize inventory, post for sale items online, and help spread the word on the ReSource Depot.
We encourage volunteers to bring gloves, water and a friend! Individuals can stop by during operating hours Mon - Fri : 9 - 2pm.
Volunteer groups can contact us at [email protected] to schedule an appointment.
The ReSource Depot is closed on rainy days!
Please call ahead to make sure we are open.
