NOAA Green Construction Rewards Program
The NOAA Green Construction Training Programs are ready to begin July 16 on St. John. IGLA/IGBA is currently implementing a media campaign targeted at the construction community that promotes upcoming educational workshops in green building — with the ultimate goal of reducing land-based sources of pollution such as erosion and sedimentation that can harm our coral reefs. Funded by a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coral Reef Conservation Program grant, IGLA/IGBA is working directly with NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service Caribbean Field Office in implementing this media campaign.

Attention Heavy Equipment Operators
NOAA Green Construction Training
IGLA/IGBA participated with NOAA and other agencies on a committee to develop training materials for heavy equipment operators, architects, designers, landscapers, property owners, realtors and others who have an impact on the land. We are rewarding the “Contractors Who Care” by providing and IGBA Membership and promoting them once they attend workshops and implement green construction practices that safeguard our marine environment.
